SOHO

The neighbourhood of SOHO
The area is one of the most affordable character neighbourhoods in the City. There are some great family homes and income properties to be acquired in this up and coming community.

Many artists, musicians and cultural groups live and work within Soho. There is also a vibrant restaurant scene. Among the highlights are:
  • Edgar & Joe’s Café 255 Horton Street – featuring fresh and local food for breakfast and lunch in a beautiful contemporary setting
  • Organic Works Bakery 222 Wellington St – Organic, Gluten Free, Nut Free and Vegan Bakery. You can dine or take out. They also sell some groceries too.
  • Walker’s Fish & Chips 223 Wellington St – authentic old fashioned fish & chips.
The neighbourhood of Soho (South of Horton) is one of London’s original neighbourhoods. It was named St. David’s Ward in 1840 and is bordered on the North by the CN Railway Tracks parallel to, and North of Horton Street and on the East by Adelaide Street and on the South and West by the Thames River.

There are some great parks and resources for kids and families in Soho too. The newly built Boys & Girls Club has a $4 million aquaplex and pool and much more. Soho is also very close to the beautiful Thames Park which features an outdoor pool, community gardens, and play structures. The local schools include: Aberdeen Public School, St. John French Immersion Catholic School, Beal Secondary School, Central Secondary School, South Central School, and Catholic Central High School.

Soho is walkable to downtown and the many business contained therein. Soho is also very close to the VIA and Greyhound stations. The central location of Soho makes getting anywhere in London a breeze….although with a neighbourhood like this why would you want to leave?!
